Our Story
My character, Ronald, goes on a journey of self-discovery and finds that people may not always be kind. But learning how to love yourself no matter what others think is key. It can be a superpower.
Our story uses humor to handle serious subjects like bullying and self-esteem.
This book is for kids who sometimes feel like outsiders like me. To illustrate the reality that many children face daily, I drew on my own experiences. Ronald's low sense of self-worth and pressure from his peers are recurring themes throughout the story. Facing his insecurities head-on helps him find his voice and his confidence.
My intention for this story is to highlight that learning to love yourself regardless of what others say or think is vital.
