Empowerment Workshop
The fourth grade is finally over, and Ronald must find a way to stop the bullying and teasing at school before he starts the fifth grade. He embarks on a journey that teaches him to be cautious about what he asks for. Will Ronald erase his “string bean” image? Will he finally fit in? Or is he destined to always be the weird, goofy, tall kid?
Get ready to read a book that will make you laugh and reflect on the rollercoaster ride of growing up. I wrote this book for kids who, like me, feel different. Drawing on my own experiences, I tell a story that reflects how many children live their lives each day. I use humor to explore situations that are often not funny at all—like bullying, feeling misunderstood, or being alone.
How does a child navigate big emotions?
How do they overcome peer pressure and bullying?
How do they learn to love themselves?
My character, Ronald, goes on a journey of self-discovery and learns that people are not always kind. He discovers that loving yourself, no matter what others think, is key—and that self-love can be a superpower.
